Hewlett Packard LaserJet 4050T Laser Printer Review

Very fast 17 Pages per minute, great looking output at 1200 DPI, even better with the optional Ethernet 10/100 HP JetDirect 600N internal card. This printer is great as a shared network printer, or for users with large volumes of printing.

Only problem I’ve found is that if you are going to be printing large 1200 DPI graphics (like Photos), you will need to upgrade the memory from the base 8 MB of ram. As an alternative you could switch to 600 DPI instead, but the picture quality is reduced.

Fabulous. Expensive, but very worthwhile as a heavy-duty multi-function machine. Weighs a ton and takes up lots of desk space, but reliably spits out large quantities of faxes, printouts, and copies. I had a couple of cheaper ink-jet fax machines, and they would choke all the time on large documents. This one has yet to have a problem, with months of heavy use. Scanner and scanner software works well and is easy to use, even for the non-technical.

Hewlett Packard Officejet G85Xi Multifunction Review

The HP G85xi multifunction is a great 4-in-1 machine and comes highly recommended. I was able to set it up in about 10 minutes and had it running with absolutely no difficulties. I was originally pricing the laser printer equivalents to this printer and soon realized my main argument, cost per print, was null when the estimated print cost for b/w sheets are only approximately [price] more than the laser. The features that pushed me over the edge are the document feeder, color copying, and unlike lesser HP MFC printers, it has optional attachments for duplex printing and network connectivity.
